Since it is so cold outside it is also freezing inside too, due to a myriad of reasons. 1. The heat pump only goes about 70 degrees above what it is outside, and that's if you don't lose heat inside, 2. We lose a lot of heat inside with all these windows, 3. We have very high ceilings and all the heat goes up there, 4. I won't turn on the auxiliary heat because I can't stand to think of the electric meter spinning off its spindle. There's probably something else I'm forgetting. But don't worry, the baby is fine. She's all bundled up and sucking out all my body heat!
Update: I broke down and turned on the auxiliary heat. It's much warmer now.
